Your data, explained plainly

Privacy Policy

What we collect when you visit or buy, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to what we actually need.

Effective date: July 20, 2026

The short version. If you buy from us, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment and order details and passes us what we need to fulfill your order; we never see or store your full card number. If you only browse, very little happens: we currently run no analytics service and no advertising pixels, so the site itself is not tracking you. We do not sell your personal information.

01Who this applies to

This Privacy Policy explains how David Gantner, doing business as THzEssentials ("we," "us," or "THz Upgrade"), the operator of thzupgrade.com, handles personal information collected through this site. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here. This policy covers this site only, not any third-party site or service we link to.

02Information we collect

Information you give us

When you make a purchase, our payment processor collects the details needed to complete and fulfill your order and provides us with what we need, such as your name, email address, billing and shipping address, and order details. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.

Information collected automatically

When you browse the site, our web host keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. These logs exist for security and operations, not to profile you, and we do not run analytics software on top of them.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through this site, and we ask that you not send us health information or other sensitive details by email.

03Payment information & Stripe

Payments are processed by Stripe. When you check out, your payment card details are entered directly with Stripe, and we do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe processes your payment information as a payment processor and in line with industry security standards, and it provides us with the order and contact details we need to fulfill your purchase and provide support.

Stripe's handling of your information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. We encourage you to review it to understand how Stripe processes payment data.

04How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • process, fulfill, and deliver your orders, and provide customer support and warranty assistance;
  • communicate with you about your order or your questions;
  • operate, maintain, and improve the site and understand how it is used;
  • protect against fraud, abuse, and security risks; and
  • comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We will only send you marketing messages if you have asked to receive them or where otherwise permitted by law, and you can opt out of those at any time.

05Cookies & embedded content

This site is intentionally light on tracking. We do not currently use any analytics service, and no advertising pixels are active. The site itself does not set tracking cookies. Two third parties are involved in simply serving the site: our web host, Netlify, which keeps standard server logs, and Google Fonts, which delivers the site's typefaces, meaning Google's servers receive your IP address when the font files load. Neither is used by us to identify or profile you.

If we ever add an analytics tool or an advertising pixel such as the Meta Pixel, we will update this policy first and describe what it collects and how to opt out before it goes live.

This site may also embed videos from Vimeo. When a video loads, Vimeo may set cookies or collect usage data under its own privacy policy. We request that embedded videos use Vimeo's "Do Not Track" option where available.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them, though some features of the site may not work properly if you do. Your browser may also offer a "Do Not Track" setting; since we run no analytics, there is nothing on this site today that needs opting out of.

06How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as needed to run this business:

  • Service providers that operate the site and process orders, including Stripe (payments), Vimeo (video hosting), and our website host, Netlify;
  • The manufacturer or fulfillment partner (OlyLife), where details such as your shipping address are needed to fulfill and deliver your order;
  • Legal and safety reasons, where we believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or property; and
  • A business transfer, if our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case information may transfer as part of that transaction.

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, so we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under state privacy laws. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated with a clear opt-out first.

07How long we keep data

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described here, such as fulfilling your order, providing warranty support, and meeting legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

08How we protect data

This site is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection, and payment data is handled by Stripe under industry security standards (PCI DSS), which means your full card number does not pass through or get stored by us. We take reasonable measures to protect the information in our care. That said, no website or method of transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

09Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, such as the right to know what we have collected, to access a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information or of targeted advertising. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

California residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, gives you the rights described above, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. As noted above, we do not sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms. You can still contact us using the details below with any privacy request and we will honor it.

Residents of other states

Several other states, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and Montana, among others, provide similar rights. Wherever you live, you can exercise any rights you have by contacting us at davidgantner@icloud.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and you may use an authorized agent where the law allows.

10Children's privacy

This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of the page. Significant changes will be reflected here, and your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.

12How to reach us

For any privacy question or to exercise a right described here, contact us at davidgantner@icloud.com, by phone at +1 (480) 600-4829, or by mail at P.O. Box 50983, Mesa, AZ 85208.
